Welcome to our updated (13 July 2008) wedding website. It's less than a month until the big day and we are getting very excited to celebrate this event with so many friends and family here in Ireland. We hope that those that are attending in August have got most of their trip plans taken care of-we've been spending some time planning lately too! If anyone does need some help planning their trip or has some questions regarding their trip then please feel free to contact us. For those who aren't able to make it here in Ireland in August-we're planning an informal open house/reception event in Grand Rapids on October 11th and we hope that you can attend-invites for this event with more information should be arriving in the mail in the next few weeks.

There are a few things that are going on around Dublin the weekend before the wedding so we've got some suggestions for those who are interested. The summer free movie session takes place Saturday night at Temple Bar Meeting House Square downtown and they are showing "Some Like It Hot" at 10:30pm-let us know if you'd like tickets and we can try to reserve a bunch. We've been there to see other movies before and it's a bit of fun and you can always find plenty of places for a drink/fun before/after the movie in Temple Bar. Taking a train or driving to Howth (a hilly island north of Dublin) on Sunday is nice and they have a small Sunday market and a nice marina. There's also an informal horse show for the adventorous types at Smithfield Market on the northside of Dublin on Sunday morning if you're looking for some true Dublin old-school culture.

The weather this past week has been typical Irish with a bit of rain here and there, but we have been getting some nice sunshine inbetween showers and this Sunday it was really pleasant. There's probably not a big need to pack alot of shorts for your trip here, but it wouldn't be too surprisng to get a few nice warm days in the 70s.

We've added a gift registry link to the website; see links on the left hand side of the page with a little giftbox icon. We are regsitered at an Irish department store as well as some American stores.
